Situated in the foothills of southern Snowdonia,
this site is situated amidst breathtaking scenery alongside the Mawddach river.

| Forming part of a working hill farm surrounding
a 12th century cistercian monastery, Cymer Abbey (right), the camping site
caters for touring caravans, motor homes and tents, with electric hook-ups
available. There are toilets, showers, razor points and hot water. Calor
gas is sold on site. The site is open from 1st of April / Easter to the end of October. |

Being ideally placed between mountain and sea, there is something for every taste within easy reach. The historic market town of Dolgellau is within 1½ miles while the sea is within 6 miles. For walkers, there are a number of very popular paths including the Precipice walk (left) and the Panorama walk (top left). The area is very popular for fishing with many well stocked natural lakes in the immediate viscinity.

There is also the Mountain bike centre at Coed y Brenin, which includes the internationally acclaimed Red Bull and Karrimor trails and regularily plays host to national and international competitions - quiet lanes and tracks lead from campsite to centre. | ![]()
